What visitors saw
In Denali we saw maybe two Dall sheep at a time (Denali Park was formed to protect them), but here we counted 42 in one sighting, more in others, here on what is called in English, Sheep Mountain.
Look for Dall sheep, mountain goats, caribou, and grizzly bears (we saw two of the four).
Not too far from our camp we came across bear tracks - a mom and a cub...a premonition of what was to come.
We flew only a few hundred metres above the forest below us, and Alex told us that occasionally they spot bears.
