What visitors saw
More than half the people I talked to in the short time I was there had seen more than one moose, so it’s not like they’re super rare.
I wasn’t lucky enough to see a moose, but I was excited to see a squirrel at the Smithwick Mine ruins.
There were so many moose tracks on the trail, but we didn’t see any actual moose.
The extent of the wildlife we saw was squirrels and a few ducks.
